In this sermon series, we will explore stories in the Bible that feature the presence of God, to ask the questions: what does this teach us about God and about ourselves? This first week, we will explore the creation accounts in Genesis 1-3.

Join us this week as we continue in our new series, "Thin Places", led by Rachel Collins. In the Book of Exodus, God shows up in the wilderness and is present with the Israelites throughout their wandering. God's presence resides in the Tabernacle, bringing a "Thin Place" to the wilderness. What does God's presence in the wilderness teach us about God?

What happens when it feels like God isn't present at all? This week, we will explore the writings from the exile, a time in Israel's history when they feared God had abandoned them. And we will ask the question: what do we do when God's presence feels far?

When God's presence shows up in a thin place, what is God like? What does God sound like? What does it feel like to be near God? This week, we will explore the story of Elijah encountering God and discover who that God is!

What if the story of scripture is a story of God drawing nearer and nearer to us? This week, we will culminate this sermon series exploring the promise God makes that God's Spirit dwells within us.
