As a church community there is a tension that we must balance. We are called to love and to reach out to those outside; to be a place that is welcoming and inviting. But at the same time, it is important to protect our church family. We should be eager to welcome those into our community, while simultaneously being aware of what may be causing harm. It can be tricky, but if we approach each situation together as a church, and in prayer with Jesus, surely we can balance this tension well.
